laurenhealy: YOUR MOD SPEAKS!!

OK, so, the day is drawing near...46 days people!

We need to organise a meet-up.

And the way that we will identify each other is through the medium of BADGES!

So, I'm going to make badges. This is where you lot come in.

We need something wonderful to have on badge. Something witty!

So, think of what can be on the badge. Post your suggestion.

And then...email me you address. I will make the badge with the best quote and then EVERYONE gets one!!

GOGOGO!!

well, since everyone else is posting! the three bands i most want to see are...

1. the libertines because i'm unhealthily obsessed. you know you are when you start discussing period drama porn involving a band with your friends, i think. i don't think i'll try and explain it any further than that, as i'll only prove how totally inarticulate i am. song i want them to play: arbeit macht frei

2. the pixies because they're LEGENDARY, quite simply. song i want them to play: debaser

3. razorlight because... well, i like them. but frankly, i just want johnny borrell to impress me. any way he wants. to convince me that he's not just an arrogant twat. song i want them to play: make up your own mind

aaaaaargh, i have missed out so many bands (the strokes, kings of leon, stellastarr, franz ferdinand, the ordinary boys, the shins... *stops self*) but those are the main three.

Kings of Leon - I adore them, and they were amazing last year. Song - California Waiting.

The Strokes - Mmm, I just love the boys, and I love them even more live. Can't bloody wait to see them again. Song - Noo Yawk City Cops.

The Libertines - Do I need a reason? :p Song - The Delaney.

A few others, 'cause I'm a cheat:

Ocean Colour Scene
British Sea Power
The Zutons.

the libs should be doing some new album stuff, i hope.

dis0spj: Um... same as below but in a different order? Haha.

1) The Libertines. (Liber T ines!!) Because I'm totally and utterly obsessed with them, and also I'm going away abroad from September until the end of next May, and so there's no way I'm NOT seeing them before I go, in case I don't get another chance for a while. Song: Mayday Shit! I'm saying exactly the same things as you did, Lauren! Mayday, because of Carl's voice. *sigh* So great. And because of Pete's slightly incomprehenisble ( ;-) ) line at the end when they do it live. And because I have a video clip of them doing it and they go all sexy-mic-sharey...

2) The Strokes. A strange reason, this. Because I love The Strokes more than I love their music, if that makes sense. I adore interviews etc with them, reading about them, but I don't love all the songs. Some I don't like at all, so... Song: Something from Room On Fire that I thought I didn't like so much, that they'll come out on stage and play and completely blow me away with how wonderful it is / they are.

3) Muse. This could've been any number of bands for my third choice (like Franz Ferdinand, because they're unthinkably cool and suave at the moment, or Razorlight because I want to know if they're any good, or Ocean Colour Scene, so they can prove to me that they are still good and didn't just have a couple of good albums years ago and that's it, or Kings Of Leon, so I can pull on their facial hair for Eliina and see if it's real or stick-on) but I picked Muse because Matt's voice is amazing. I think it's a love-it-or-hate-it voice, but luckily I love it. Truly. Song: Nature_1 because it's beautiful, but just really anything at all. I don't care so long as I get to hear that voice!

Hmm. This was quite a long post, no? Why can I never say anything simply?
